We all accept that children would find it difficult to survive without mothers. But what about fathers?
The centre for social justice estimates that a million children in the UK are growing up without fathers. Even more disturbing is the fact that a lot of children are growing up with a lack of male role models in their lives. Around 80% of schools have fewer than three male teachers .
However, children need to learn from male and female role models.
Many of our men today had less than a perfect father themselves when growing up. In short, not all men today are fully equipped to be role models for the younger generation.
Many women are left on their own to do the best they can under difficult conditions.
Yet there is hope and you can be part of it.
The following scripture references will be used. Genesis 25:19-34; Genesis 27:1-46
